How's Your Heart?

Tomorrow is Valentines Day, a day in which many people think about their sweethearts. It is a day symbolized by a heart. Although our hearts may appear similar physically, they may be very different spiritually. 1. Some Have A BROKEN Heart. Nothing will break a heart like sin. Sin will affect a person’s heart but it will not stop there. It will eventually affect everything a person does. If you have a broken heart, give it to Jesus. Only He can mend it. 2. Some Have A BURDENED Heart. Psalms 25:17 says, “The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.” Maybe your heart is burdened because of someone or a situation that is causing distress in your life. Jesus wants you to cast your burden upon Him so He can sustain you. 3. Some Have A BLESSED Heart. Psalms 28:7 says, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” The psalmist said that his help came from trusting in the LORD. Maybe you have found yourself in need of help but you have nowhere to turn. Turn to Jesus! Let Him become your strength and shield, then your heart can rejoice like the psalmists. Which heart describes you?
